Terms of Use

These terms apply when you use Pinni, including Pinni Pro. Please read them carefully. By using Pinni, you agree to them.

1. About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Viktor Blais, a sole proprietor based in British Columbia, Canada, who operates Pinni (“we”, “us”). Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal information.

2. Your account

You must be at least 16 years old to use Pinni. You sign in with Apple or Google, and you are responsible for activity that takes place through your account, so please keep that account secure.

3. The service

Pinni is a shared space for two people. One person creates it and invites the other to join. Everything either of you shares there is visible to both of you.

4. Your content

You keep all of your rights in the content you share in Pinni, including your photos, writing, drawings and voice recordings. You grant us permission to store, process and display that content to your partner, solely to operate Pinni. This permission ends when the content is deleted, as described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Acceptable use

When you use Pinni, you agree:

• to share only content you have the right to share;
• never to share intimate images of anyone without their consent, or any sexual content involving a person under 18;
• not to use Pinni to harass, threaten or harm anyone, or for any unlawful purpose; and
• not to attempt to access anyone else’s account or shared space, or to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer or copy Pinni.

6. Leaving and deleting your account

Either of you may leave your shared space, or delete your account, at any time. When that happens, the shared space remains readable for both of you for 30 days, including everything either of you shared. It is then permanently deleted. A person who has left may return within those 30 days.

7. Pinni Pro

Pinni is free to use. Pinni Pro is an optional subscription that offers additional features, as described in the app.

• Shared by both of you. When either of you subscribes, both of you receive Pinni Pro.
• Purchased through Apple. Subscriptions are purchased through the App Store and charged to your Apple account. The price and billing period are shown in the app, in your currency, before you confirm your purchase.
• Automatic renewal. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. You can cancel in Pinni, under Settings → Pinni Pro → Manage subscription, or in your device’s settings. Pinni Pro remains active until the end of the period you have paid for.
• Free trials. If a free trial is offered, it converts to a paid subscription when it ends, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before. Apple permits one free trial per Apple account.
• Refunds are handled by Apple, in accordance with its policies.
• When a subscription ends, nothing you have created is deleted or hidden. Pinni continues to work within the limits of the free version.

8. Changes to Pinni

We continue to improve Pinni, so its features may change over time. Changes to features will not remove content you have already created. If we decide to discontinue Pinni, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice, so that you can save your photos.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or the law, or where we are required to do so. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you the reason first.

10. Disclaimer

We work to keep Pinni available, secure and reliable, but we provide it “as is”. We cannot guarantee that it will always be available, uninterrupted or free of errors.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for the loss of content you have shared. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under the consumer protection laws of the place where you live.

12. Apple

These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Pinni or for providing support for it. When you obtain Pinni from the App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. To the extent permitted by Apple’s rules, where these terms and that agreement differ, these terms apply.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute will be heard by the courts of British Columbia, unless the laws of the place where you live give you the right to bring it before your local courts.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always available on this page, with its effective date. If we make a significant change, we will let you know in the app before it takes effect.
